About the Foundation
One Housing Foundation is our charity.
Through our charity, we provide positive social and community activity that supports people to live well and inspire them to have a better future.
As a housing association with a strong social purpose, adding value for our residents and in our communities is at the centre of everything we do. With our range of extra services and support, we want to make sure we can help people when they most need it.
One Housing Foundation is a limited company by guarantee (number 04471904) and a registered charity with the Charity Commission, registration number 1097503. It was previously called Arlington Futures.
Our strategic focus
To get the best outcomes for our residents and their communities, our four strategic pillars are:
- Preparing our young residents for the challenges of the modern world, supporting them to stay safe, contribute to society and be the best they can be.
- Supporting people to live independent lives through provision of learning and employment opportunities.
- Supporting the rejuvenation of communities through engaging residents and working in partnership with others.
- Improving the wellbeing of our older residents.
Our social mobility strategy and resident engagement strategy set out how we will invest in activities that increase opportunity and aspiration for our residents and our communities. Our Health, Care and Support strategy explains the services and opportunities that we provide for young, vulnerable and old people. Key activities in all these documents support our four strategic pillars for One Foundation.
How it is funded?
One Housing funds most of the charity. In 2018/2019, it invested £1.3 million in gift aid to the charity to continue delivering:
- Youth services
- Employment and training
- Community activity
- Improving wellbeing for our older residents (which is also funded through our care and support activities)
We are also keen to work with new partners and individuals who share our ambition and accept assistance to support and extend our projects and programmes.
